EO PLACE GUIDE
Your first FFXIV player event
From discovery to arrival: check entry requirements, dates, and meeting instructions.
Updated: September 6, 2026
1. Start with events you can attend
Filter Events by period, DC/World, organizer, and format. Start with a day and time you can attend, then open an event that interests you. Use NOW for today and Events for future plans.
2. Check how to join in the original announcement
Check whether the event is open, requires registration, or is community-only. Register through the organizer's stated method. Viewing the listing or adding it to your calendar is not registration. Check dress codes, photo/streaming policies, and whether late arrivals are welcome.
3. Separate the schedule from the meeting point
Look for a separate meeting or admission time, not just the event start. Distinguish Japan time from your device's local time, especially for overnight events. For an in-game address, note the DC, World, ward, plot, and room when provided.
4. Some events have no fixed venue
An online activity or an event joined from anywhere may have no World or address. A no-specific-location label is not necessarily missing information. Check the announcement for a stream link, participation destination, or posting instructions.
5. Recheck before attending
Reopen the listing and announcement before leaving to check for cancellation or venue changes. Downloaded calendar entries do not update automatically. Follow organizer instructions on queues, photos, and conversation. Check their guidance rather than guessing.
Before-you-go checklist
Check the date and timezone, completed registration, meeting point and World, latest announcement, and photo/sharing rules. Keep these five details together for the day. For organizer submission instructions, use the separate Posting Guide.
