Browsing needs no account. Log in to post. Regular submissions go live after input and image validation, without waiting for moderator approval.
Use Events for scheduled concerts, group photos, and meetups. Use SS SPOT to introduce a location itself.
If the location already exists, add a photo to its gallery instead of creating a duplicate. SS SPOT is not a directory of private house interiors or housing studios.
Post an event
1. Enter a title and start time. Leave the end time empty if unknown. Inputs use your device timezone, so check it carefully when posting from another country.
2. Select a category, audience, and registration requirements. Explain the activity, meeting instructions, and how to sign up. Listing an event does not create participant reservations.
3. Choose in-game, online, real-world, or hybrid. For a fixed in-game venue, select the DC, World, and housing address if relevant. Events without a fixed venue can use the no-specific-location / World option.
4. Add organizer details, optionally including their X account and original announcement URL. A link helps participants find updates and registration instructions. Review and publish.
For overnight events, use the following day as the end date: 22:00–01:00 does not finish on the same date.
Post a new SS SPOT
1. Choose one screenshot taken at the location. A photo is required for a new spot.
2. Select expansion → map type → area/duty. For multi-floor content, select the map for the floor you photographed.
3. Click or tap the map to set your position. Zoom, pan, or enter X/Y directly. Use the photographer's position, not a distant building shown in the picture.
4. Check nearby suggestions. Add a photo to an existing spot if it is the same place; confirm it is a distinct location before creating another.
5. Add a title, review, and publish. Description, caption, and feature tags are optional, but useful details make the spot easier to discover.
Add photos to an existing spot
Open the spot detail page and choose an image in “Share a photo from this spot”. Add an optional caption, then select “Publish screenshot” to add it after validation.
You do not need to be the creator to contribute. Different angles or times of day are welcome, but photos from another location belong to that location.
Help others visit
Go beyond “beautiful place” or “come join us” with information a first-time visitor can use. These are writing examples.
Event example: “A social meetup with live music. Come and go freely. Meet at the entrance. See the announcement for registration and rules.”
Spot example: “Use the water reflections as a backdrop. Try facing east for evening backlight. Stand before the ledge to fit more scenery into the frame.”
Mention time, weather, or duty-entry requirements when you know them. Do not present uncertain conditions as confirmed facts.
Edit, cancel, or delete
Edit, cancel, or delete events from My page. Keep both the announcement and listing updated when details change. Mark an event cancelled so prospective participants can see it will not take place.
The creator can edit a published spot without unpublishing it. The spot itself can be deleted only when no screenshots from other contributors remain.
Delete your own screenshots individually, but not other contributors’ photos. A spot with no photos displays the EO PLACE fallback image. Keep copies of any descriptions or originals you want before deleting.
Image requirements and troubleshooting
Use JPEG, PNG, or WebP up to 10 MB per image. Reduce resolution or export quality if needed. Images are converted to WebP and metadata is removed, so check the published result.
Regular limits are five new events, five new spots, and 100 screenshots in the preceding 24 hours. Screenshots include a new spot’s first photo. These are rolling limits, not a midnight reset.
If you cannot publish, check required fields, image format and size, confirmation checkboxes, and nearby-spot warnings.
After a connection error, do not repeatedly submit. Check My page or the gallery in case the post was saved, then check your login and error message before trying again.
Sharing responsibly
Only publish information and images you are permitted to share. Do not repost others’ images, writing, or private chat without permission. Check for character names and personal information; retake or edit as needed.
Do not post harassment, discrimination, RMT, scams, or content misleadingly presented as official. Follow the FFXIV Materials Usage License and EO PLACE Terms.
Report problematic content from its detail page. Moderators may hide or remove it after checking. A report does not automatically delete a post.
