FFXIV MACRO
Assist the focus target
Changes your target to the focus target's current target and confirms the switch with a private echo. It can help align with a main tank or coordinator's selection.
Macro code
/assist, /echo/assist <f>
/echo Switched to the focus target's target. What this does
Changes your target to the focus target's current target and confirms the switch with a private echo. It can help align with a main tank or coordinator's selection.
How to use
Focus the player you intend to follow, then run the macro. Even after the echo appears, verify your own target name before taking an action.
Requirements
Set a focus target first; that focus target must currently have another valid target selected.
- Requires a valid target
Notes
Assist does not guarantee that the other player's selection is strategically correct, and their target can change at any moment. Do not append an attack; confirm first and act normally.
