How to visit your first FFXIV bar

Player-run bars are housing venues for conversation and themed experiences. You never need to drink in real life, and first-time visitors can join by checking each venue's guidance.

1. Find the right bar

Check open venues for beginner guidance, sightseeing policy, role-play style, and atmosphere. Decide whether you want a quiet visit, conversation, or a themed performance.

2. Before entering

Data center, World, district, ward, and plot
Hours and last update
Free or optional-tip pricing
Role-play policy and character expectations
Photo, streaming, and social posting policy

3. Once inside

Say hello and read any posted guidance. Ordering and seating vary, so tell staff it is your first visit if you are unsure what to do.

4. When leaving

Follow the venue's guidance for payment and farewells. You do not have to stay longer than you want, and during busy periods it helps to make room for others.
